Join us for a two week adventure in Van Cortlandt Park! Discover the ecosystem that supports plants, animals, and you through hands-on activities and games. Explore how the biotic and abiotic (living and non-living) components of the park interact with each other, where your food comes from, and how you are a part of this ecosystem. Observe the diversity of plants and animals through walking the trails of the park. Delve into the world of insects, worms, and fungus in the soil that supports all life. Grow your leadership and communication skills through teambuilding challenges. Create nature-inspired art, learn how to make natural products, and which plants in the park are edible! We will even do a little yoga, discover more about ourselves, and make close friendships.
